Intelligent sensor for online monitoring

The new OMEGA ® zSeries Wireless sensor system is designed for on-line monitoring temperature, humidity and barometric pressure in the HVAC units and cooling.

Small wireless senders can be discretely wall mounted in clean rooms, laboratories, museums, halls, warehouses, and any remote installation. Wireless transmitters are powered by two “AA” batteries 1, 5V alkaline (included) that are economic and high growth.

The transmitter can transmit up to a distance of 91 m (without obstruction or interference) to a receiver (“Coordinator”) connected to a network Ethernet or Internet. The wireless system complies with IEEE 802.15.4 standards operating at 2.4 GHz.

The OMEGA zSeries system allows you to monitor and record temperature, relative humidity server room temperature, and barometric pressure on a network Ethernet or the Internet without having to use special software – just your Web browser.

OMEGA offers a variety of issuers to work with multiple units. Each transmitter can support 1 or 2 sensors. The transmitters are available with integrated sensors, external, and with both sensors and external probes. External sensors are designed to operate in harsh environments such as difficult climatic conditions, systems, HVAC, freezers and refrigerators. For example, you can select a transmitter which has an internal sensor and an external sensor to monitor the temperature and humidity both inside and outside of controlled atmosphere systems.

Each Coordinator zSeries can support up to 32 transmitters. The Coordinator includes a.c. adapters to work with any voltage worldwide from 100 to 240 VAC, 50-60 Hz. Coordinator connects directly to an Ethernet or Internet network. Unlike a RS232 or USB device, it requires no host.

The zSeries Coordinator is an independent node on the network that transmits and receives data in standard TCP/IP packets. It can be easily configured from a Web browser and can be protected with a password. By using a local area network Ethernet or the Internet, the user enters the IP address (such as 192.168.1.200) or a name easy to remember (such as “Warehouse 5″ or “Lab calibration”) and the Coordinator serves as the Web page with the current readings.

The device can trigger an alarm if a variable goes up above or below the set-point can be adjusted Itwatchdogs. Your alarm may be sent by mail to an individual or to a mailing list, including by SMS to mobile phones Internet and PDAs. The OMEGA ‘Email alert’ software is a free and simple program that is provided with this unit.

The OMEGA zSeries Wireless system is easy to install and use, and has award-winning technology of the OMEGA iServer with a built-in Web server that requires no specialized software.

The OMEGA system uses Active Web pages to display real-time readings and graphs of temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. You can also save the data in a standard format for use in an array or a program such as Excel or VBX (Visual Basic) data entry. OMEGA offers a simple, free program for recording the data in Excel.

The virtual chart on the Web page is a JAVA ™ applet that saves a chart Applet on a local network or the Internet in real time. With the OMEGA zSeries system you need to devote your time and your money to find out about a program proprietary software in order to save the data.

The graphics are completely adjustable in real time. For example, the chart may display a minute, an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year. The temperature can be traced using the full range (-40 to 125 ° C, and 0 to 100% RH) or defined as 20 to 30 ° C range.

OMEGA offers OPC server software that facilitates the integration of system zSeries Wireless with multiple programs automatisaton and entry data provided by Omega, Wonderware, iConics, Intellution, Rockwell Automation, and National Instruments, among others.
